The grand of ISA Bin Maryam hospital was bought by a merchant named Amim –Sharieh in 1284 SH(1904 AD).His aim was moving Jolfa hospital to this place in Abbas Abad . Dr. Donald Carr, Mrs. Marry Baird and the pope Thomson completed this transfer and named it Christian hospital.
For the first time , surgery was performed in Boghuzkhanian hospital and then in Christian hospital .Doctors, midwives and nurses from different countries such as England, Canada, Germany and Australia treated patients in this hospital. Dr. Shafter who was a professor in London Medical College, brought assistants (residents) from England to this hospital to be trained under his supervision and Dr. Ponte and Dr. Andranik Minaskan (who was an American Christian gynecologist).
Isfahan Medical University has tried to keep the hospital up-to-date and active since Islamic Republic of Iran. Additionally , different advanced medical devices are used and expert specialists , midwives and nurses work in this hospital.
